On the first day of her new job in the police department, Natsumi Tsujimoto was running late. Her desperate and dangerous shortcuts across the city on her Motocompo was quickly noticed by on-duty cop Miyuki Kobayakawa. Natsumi manages to lose the patrol car for a while, but she crashes her bike while avoiding a kitten. Miyuki catches up, but lets her off with a stern warning and welcomes her as the newest member in the police force.

To their surprise, Kacho, the section chief, makes them partners. An uneasy alliance starts, as Natsumi's tomboyish and impulsive nature simply cannot get along with intelligent and rational Miyuki. But with help from fellow motorcop Ken Nakajima and dispatcher Yoriko, they solve their first and succeeding cases with ease, and soon accept their partnership.
